The automated collection of road condition data in conjunction with a systemised pavement management methodology, is a rapid and objective means of rating road conditions within a  network.  The data may also be used to assess the quality of new works and its compliance with specification requirements. The data that can be collected with our Network Survey Vehicle (NSV) includes: 

 

• Roughness (longitudinal profile)  

• Rutting (transverse profile)  

• Texture Depth (macro texture)

The NSV is also equipped with the capability to gather digital imaging from asset and pavement view cameras. The digital imaging of road and asset views is an invaluable tool in assisting with a number of operational and safety needs for road maintenance authorities including providing information for: 

 

• Pavement and surfacing conditions 

• Linemarking 

• Roadside vegetation 

• Road signing and furniture inventory 

• Location of road features
